Dips
Dips can be sweet or savoury, mild or spicy and textures can be thick (houmous), thin (olive oil), creamy (sour cream) or soupy (salsa). Dips are commonly used to add flavour to foods and as an accompaniment to finger foods.
The product lies somewhere between a dressing and a mayonnaise but with a taste profile and character all of its own. A good product has a soft, creamy texture with enough viscosity and cling to enable the dipped product to be transported from the pot to the mouth without dripping on the carpet!
